MacLean Dubay, MSW, SWLC
I believe we were created to connect with one another - that's where our greatest challenges and most beautiful growth happen. I'm here to walk alongside you as you explore how past trauma might be affecting your relationships today and the stories you tell yourself about who you are.
My hope is to empower you on this journey of understanding how your experiences have shaped you, and how we can work together to create new possibilities for your life and relationships.

My Approach
I’m passionate about creating a space where you can safely strive for deeper emotional and relational connectedness. I bring authenticity, creativity, and compassion into each session, meeting you exactly where you are.
I often incorporate experiential methods like art-based activities, mindfulness practices, and time in nature, depending on what resonates with you. I believe therapy should be tailored to your unique way of processing and healing.
My approach is grounded in attachment science and trauma-informed care, helping you build a stronger, more resilient connection to yourself and those you love.

About Me
I grew up in a small town in Ohio and later moved south to attend college and graduate school in Texas. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in many different settings — schools, legal systems, and inpatient acute care — all of which shaped the therapist I am today.
Eventually, my passion for experiential therapy led me to Bozeman, where I provided equine-assisted therapy to individuals and families. Now, I’m honored to bring that same creative, connected spirit into my work here at Little Bear Counseling.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me outdoors biking, swimming, or running with my dog.
