Counseling in Bozeman, MT

Andrea Lawrence, MSW, SWLC
Life can bring challenges that leave us feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or uncertain about how to move forward. Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, family conflict, or major life transitions, therapy can provide a supportive space to reconnect with yourself and the people who matter most.
I am passionate about creating an environment where clients can explore challenges without judgment and build on the strengths they already possess. Whether you are navigating anxiety, grief, relationship distress, family conflict, or a significant life transition, I strive to meet you where you are and support you in moving toward greater emotional balance and connection.
My Approach
I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person's unique lived experience. My work is grounded in a client-centered, strengths-based perspective and is informed by my training in Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), mindfulness, and somatic practices. I believe that healing happens when people feel seen, understood, and empowered to bring their whole selves into the therapeutic space.
I support clients in:
-
Navigating anxiety, grief, and life transitions with greater confidence and resilience
-
Strengthening relationships and fostering deeper emotional connection
-
Improving communication and understanding within couples and families
-
Exploring patterns, emotions, and experiences with curiosity and self-compassion
-
Building stronger connections with family members, including relationships with adult children
I work with individuals, teens, couples, and families, and have more than seven years of experience supporting clients through life's challenges. I continue to deepen my training in Emotionally Focused approaches and am dedicated to helping clients strengthen their relationships, restore emotional balance, and create meaningful, lasting change.

About Me
When I'm not at Little Bear Counseling, you'll likely find me taking advantage of Montana's incredible outdoor spaces. I love cross-country skiing in the winter, spending time on the water fishing, and exploring new roads and trails on my gravel bike.
At home, I enjoy slowing down and spending quality time with my partner and our two cats, Louis and Hugh. Whether I'm trying a new recipe in the kitchen or working on sewing pieces for my dream wardrobe, I appreciate opportunities to be creative, curious, and connected to the things that bring me joy.
I believe that balance, connection, and meaningful experiences are an important part of well-being, and I feel grateful to live and work in a community that values those things, too.
Therapy via Telehealth
I offer virtual therapy across Montana. Whether you're seeking support as an individual, a couple, parents, or family I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
