Clair Alaman, Intern

Beginning therapy is a courageous step — especially when you're asking big questions about who you are, how past experiences have shaped you, and what direction you want to take in life and relationships.
I’m Clair, a counseling intern at Little Bear Counseling, and I work with individuals and couples who are navigating life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and the pursuit of deeper meaning.

I believe healing and growth happen through safe, supportive relationships. My goal is to offer a grounded, genuine presence and create space where vulnerability can lead to clarity, healing, and hope.
My Approach: Relational, Faith-Aware & Rooted in Curiosity
I approach therapy with warmth, empathy, and a deep respect for each person’s journey. My work is influenced by my background in mentoring, my own faith journey, and my commitment to holding space for clients to explore what matters most to them.

When relevant to a client’s goals, I’m also comfortable integrating faith-based perspectives into the work. I support clients in:
-
Exploring life transitions with openness and clarity
-
Strengthening relationships and emotional connection
-
Healing from the past with compassion and intentionality
-
Moving forward with a sense of purpose and self-trust
-

I work with individuals and couples, and I’m currently deepening my training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and attachment-based practices.

About Me
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from the University of Colorado – Boulder and am currently completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Colorado Christian University.
My years of mentoring young adults have shown me the power of relational support and the transformation that can happen when people feel safe to reflect, ask hard questions, and grow from the inside out.
Outside of the therapy room, I love spending time with my husband and our friends outdoors — usually in tucked-away places only accessible by 4x4 or snowmobile. I’m often on the move: mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, or taking on a challenge in a workout class. And when I slow down, you’ll find me with a good book or tending to my vegetable garden.
