Elizabeth Bentley-Varca, MSW, LCSW
Beginning therapy can feel like stepping into unfamiliar territory — especially when you're navigating major transitions, relational tension, or emotional overwhelm. I’m Liz, a therapist here in Bozeman, and I work with tweens, adolescents, couples, families, and individuals across the lifespan with warmth, presence, and a deep respect for each person's story.
I’m passionate about helping clients find more connection, clarity, and groundedness — and I bring a strong systems lens and a growing foundation in Emotionally Focused Therapy to the work we do together.
My Approach: Attachment-Based, Mindful & System-Informed
I believe that healing and change happen in the context of safe relationships — and that therapy can be one of those spaces. I bring an attachment-based, trauma-informed lens to my work, along with a strong grounding in family and social systems and mindfulness.
Whether I’m supporting a teen navigating anxiety, a parent facing communication struggles, or a couple reconnecting through EFT, my focus is on helping clients:
-
Deepen emotional awareness and safety
-
Explore relational patterns with curiosity and compassion
-
Strengthen communication and inner resilience
I also incorporate mindfulness into sessions to support regulation and present-moment awareness.

About Me
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Utah, and my undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Wyoming. Over the past decade, I’ve worked with clients across the age span — including in school settings, community mental health, and family-centered support roles.
After completing graduate school, I relocated to Bozeman, where I’ve continued supporting children, teens, families, and individuals through compassionate and grounded care. I’m currently training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and am excited to bring this work into both family and couples sessions.
Outside of work, I love being outdoors with my partner and our black lab, Mayhem (who lives up to her name!). You’ll often find me skiing, running, fly fishing, or soaking up as much time in nature as possible.
