Weekly Addictions Support Group
An AA alternative
Service Description
This weekly recovery group offers a supportive alternative to AA for people who want to understand their relationship with substances through the lens of attachment, nervous system regulation, and self-compassion—without shame or pressure. Rather than focusing on willpower or labels, this group helps participants explore why substances became necessary, how stress and relationships impact use, and how to build safer, more sustainable ways of coping. The group is led by two licensed therapists and integrates evidence-based recovery practices with attachment-informed support. This group may be a good fit if you: * Tried AA and felt it wasn’t quite right for you * Struggle with shame, self-criticism, or “white-knuckling” sobriety * Want recovery support that addresses emotions, relationships, and stress * Prefer a therapist-led space with structure and psychological safety * Are curious about healing the root of addictive patterns, not just stopping behavior Group Details 🗓 Tuesdays in January (4 weeks) ⏰ 12:30–1:30 PM 💵 $50 per group ($200 total) 👥 Limited to 10 participants 📌 One-month commitment requested This group is not a replacement for medical or higher-level care, but it can be a powerful complement—or alternative—for those seeking a more relational, compassionate approach to recovery.
