Johanna Vasseur, MS, PCLC

Choosing to begin therapy is a meaningful and personal step — one that often emerges in the midst of feeling lost, overwhelmed, or simply ready for something to shift. I hold deep respect for the vulnerability it takes to begin this kind of work, and I feel honored to walk alongside folks as they explore, reimagine, and reconnect with their lives.

I’m Johanna, a counselor in Glasgow but I work via telehealth. I bring a warm, thoughtful, and humanistic approach to the therapeutic space. I work collaboratively with adults navigating life transitions, emotional overwhelm, identity exploration, and the deep work of healing and growth.

My goal is to help you reconnect with your own inner wisdom, strengthen self-compassion, and feel more empowered to shape your life in ways that feel true to you.

My Approach: Person-Centered, Culturally Aware & Trauma-Informed

At the heart of my work is a belief in your innate capacity for healing and growth. I offer a supportive, collaborative relationship grounded in person-centered, strengths-based care. My approach honors each individual’s layered experiences, cultural identities, and unique path toward change.

Depending on your needs, I may draw from:

  • Compassionate parts work

  • Trauma-informed somatic inquiry

  • Mindful exploration of personal narratives and identity

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy

I bring flexibility, presence, and deep respect to the therapy process — always guided by your intuition, values, and goals.

About Me

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Saybrook University in 2024, in a program deeply rooted in humanistic and person-centered principles. I’ve supported clients in a variety of settings including community mental health, crisis services, support groups, and individual therapy for adults.

I grew up in rural upstate New York, spent my young adult years in the Pacific Northwest, and now call Montana home. My partner and I relocated here after he felt called to return to the Big Sky horizons of his youth — and we’ve both fallen in love with the beauty and spaciousness of life here.

Outside of work, I’m a longtime student (and joyful sharer) of yoga, often found lending a hand in the kitchen at my partner’s café, or wandering the prairie with our silly and spirited husky pup.
