Aubrie Cornell, MS, PCLC

It’s not always easy to reach out for support — especially when you’re overwhelmed, exhausted, or just trying to hold it all together.

I'm Aubrie, a counselor in Bozeman, Montana, and I help individuals, families, and young people move through challenges with clarity, care, and connection.

Whether you're navigating stress, grief, or a difficult life transition, I bring a steady, collaborative presence to support your healing and growth. I'm trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and I approach my work through a trauma-informed, attachment-focused lens.

My Approach: Trauma-Informed, Relational & Attachment-Based

In therapy, I aim to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood. I integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy with a trauma-informed perspective, helping clients:

  • Understand the emotional patterns that keep them stuck

  • Strengthen communication and self-compassion

  • Build more secure, connected relationships

My approach is grounded, collaborative, and deeply person-centered. I know how hard it can be just to walk through the door — and I strive to make therapy feel approachable, empowering, and deeply human.

About Me

Originally from Missouri, I’ve called Bozeman home for quite some time now. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology from Saint Mary’s University and completed my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University.

I’ve worked in both community and inpatient settings, serving as an inpatient social work case manager, program developer, and advocate. I have experience supporting families, teens, and individuals through trauma-informed care and systems work — with a focus on assessments, communication, and emotional safety.

In my free time, you’ll often find me on the pickleball courts, skiing in the winter, or enjoying Montana’s mountain trails. I also have a background as a collegiate soccer player and still love connecting through sports and travel. I aim to bring that same energy, presence, and curiosity into the therapy space.
